Cost-Sharing The LMAP is supported by cost-sharing. The College subsidizes the costs of operations, and the Cancer Center also provides some support. Fees represent the time that our house is your house. Everyone in a private research institution is supported by grants of some sort, and our fees represent that requirement. Carrying out many of our experiments is time-consuming, requiring expert scientists to work with you, as well as expensive, advanced instrumentation. We can minimize costs, where appropriate, by providing training and access to our open access laboratory. However, proteomics and mass spectrometry are very expensive. In order to to carry out in depth, longer term proteomics projects, we have sought joint funding to facilitate the research. Please talk with us about your scientific needs, and how they can best be addressed. |
